Rex Vick graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School in 1993 with an emphasis in real estate, followed by an advanced degree in mortgage banking in College Park, Maryland. This spurred his interest in residential development and lead to the formation of Windjam Development Group. Shortly thereafter, he created a homebuilding company that would complement Windjam Development in its neighborhoods. As a result, Rex's extensive financial network and intimate knowledge of the construction industry enabled him to form Sage Built, a residential building company. Sage Built's team brings over 75 years of homebuilding experience to its homebuyers.

Rex has made it a priority to develop working relationships with his customers. Rex Vick, Sr.

Rex Vick, Sr.

Rex Vick, Sr. serves as Windjam’s Chairman. He is one of the original founders of Republic Mortgage Insurance Company based in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He co-founded the company in 1972 and it grew to become the nation’s fifth largest independent mortgage guaranty group in the nation. RMIC operated in all 50 states providing residential mortgage guaranty insurance to mortgage brokers, commercial banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. In 1980, RMIC became a subsidiary of Chicago-based Old Republic International (ORI), which is among the nation’s 50 largest publicly held insurance organizations. Currently, RMIC had approximately $100 billion Insured and over $2 billion in Net Admitted Assets with $1.7 billion in Contingency Reserves. His leadership and financial contacts throughout the Southeast are invaluable to the company’s long term growth.

Jennifer Scott is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in representing clients throughout North Carolina in various stages of development, building, and marketing. Her expertise spans entity selection, contract negotiation, due diligence, and land use planning. Harry Krohn

Harry Krohn

Custom home builder Harry Krohn has worked in the construction field for nearly 30 years. Harry’s work experience and background in the building business is generational—he grew up as an apprentice with his father’s masonry and home building companies. Harry is a licensed general contractor; recognized by the North Carolina Brick Association as a Brick Value Builder; and a member of the Durham, Orange, and Chatham County Home Builders Association, as well as the Wake County Home Builders Association.

Starting out in Arizona, Harry studied both drafting and architecture and was awarded a top prize in an architectural drafting competition—the Arizona State VICA finals. After working for his father’s business for several years, Harry was given the reigns to run the family business. As a valued and dedicated professional in the industry, Harry was elected to the Board of Directors of the Tucson Masonry Association, serving three terms. Following his beginning in Arizona, Harry moved on to Minnesota where he gained valuable experience working and living in different weather conditions. This diverse background has given him a unique understanding of climates and building requirements ranging from the extreme cold conditions of Minnesota, to the hot, dry climate of the Arizona desert, and finally to the four seasons and humid conditions of North Carolina. Sparky is a Financial and Real Estate professional with more than 21 years of experience across a wide range of industries.  He graduated from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School (Chapel Hill, NC) in 1991 with a BS in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting.  His financial career started in public accounting as a tax specialist and has continued with Controller and CFO roles for various companies in the Triangle area.  Over the past 15 years, he has held CFO roles with companies in the Development and Construction industries, including 2 years as a consultant to multiple residential construction and development companies.  He is a proven leader and brings extensive management experience to the team.

Gavin Mekemson brings a comprehensive real estate background to his brokerage and client relationships.
